University Commerce College Jaipur
The University Commerce College, founded in 1956,
is a premier centre of commerce and business education
in the world. Apart from traditional courses like B. Com.
Pass and B. Com. Hons., the College has gained
prominence in recent years in running professional
courses like BBA, BCA and B.Com.(A.T.P.) also. The
College also offers a Certificate Course in Steno-typing.
The College has had the unique distinction of
organising the All-India Commerce Conference twice, in
1977 and 1995. It also successfully organised various
National Seminars and Conferences such as 'Business
Leadership in India' (1968), 'International Monetary
Development' (1972), 'Changing Perspectives in
Management Education' (2004), "Globalisation and
Changing Business Environment in India' (2004),
Globalisation: Myth or Reality?' (2005) and "Emerging
Issues in Commerce and Management" (2006). The
college organized a National Seminar on "Corporate
Governance and Ethical Issues in Changing Economic
Scenario" in the year 2009.The college also organised
two seminars, one National Seminar on "Professional
Orientation of Business Education" (23 Dec. 2009) and
International Seminar on "Rural Marketing: The
Changing Scenario" on Feb. 17-18, 2010. Recently the
college has successfully organised a National Seminar
on NREGA : Opportunities and Challenges on 8 & 9
January 2011.
The College has two big play grounds. It also has two
A.C. Computer labs, containing 77 computers.
The College has a rich library with nearly two lakh
books, many prestigious journals and magazines.
A large number of our students have qualified in All-
India professional examinations like CA, CS, ICWA and
MBA. The achievements of the College in the field of
games and sports, NSS, NCC and scouting are highly
commendable. A unique feature of the college is its
Career Counseling and Placement Centre which helps
students in getting suitable employment in various
national and internationally recognized companies.
There is a highly qualified and experienced faculty for
providing quality education in Commerce, Business and
Management.
The College has hosted and organized many
tournaments from time to time :
(i) Chess – Inter College Tournament (30th July
2010–1st August 2010)
(ii) Hockey – Inter College Tournament (13th
November –15th November 2010)
(iii) All India Inter – University wrestling (M & W)
Tournament 2010–11.
(iv) West Zone Inter University Volley Ball Tournament
